International Students

Some international engineering programs have been accredited by the Engineering Commission of ABET.  To determine if yours is one of them, visit here and click on “Country” to find your country and then program.  If it is not there, we will use the organization listed for each member of Washington Accord to determine if the program has equivalent accreditation. If there is any question whether or not your undergraduate degree will meet admission requirements, send opan@uark.edu the exact name and location of the institution, and the name of the degree, before applying.  If the degree is not listed at ABET.org or through the Washington Accord, it will not meet admission requirements.

 

In addition to meeting the undergraduate degree requirement listed above, applicants whose native language is not English must meet Graduate School requirements for evidence of English proficiency.  Please note that the writing requirement for enrollment privileges is higher for than that for admission.  To be eligible to enroll without required remedial courses in writing, a score of at least 26 on the iBT TOEFL or a 4.0 of writing portion of the GRE must be submitted.  Remedial writing courses are not available online.
